How to Start a Blog

Many people who have just come in to the internet world and obviously new to this world than its very difficult for them to understand the basics and how this world goes. If you want to earn money on internet than its essential for you to create a website or at-least free blog so that you promote your products or act as a salesman and earn some commission. But not everyone create a website or have enough money to buy a website. So the option left is to create a free blog. Only thing remaining is to choose a right blogging platform which fulfill all your requirements as well as search engine friendly.

Now you must know that there are two main blogging platforms on internet. One is owned by big internet giant Google and they named it as blogger or blog-spot. Other is WordPress platform which you can join free on there website or you can install it on your top level domain. Both platforms have pros and cons and its very difficult to decide which platform to choose. Blogger blogs are easy to create and these blogs are indexed quickly in Google search results where as WordPress blog or not so easy but they have the facility of Plugin’s which really make WordPress awesome platform.

As I have said earlier Blogspot.com is owned by Google and its very easy to start a blog here. If you have Gmail  account than you are seconds away from being creating your first ever free blog. Just visit Blogspot.com and sign-in with your Gmail account. After sign-in Google will ask for your nick name which they use for your post signatures. Accept the Terms of Service of Google and click continue Button.

Now first of all complete your profile and fill in as much data as you can. Than return to the main dashboard and click on Create your blog Now link. Next page will offer you to set your blog’s main Title and your blog address. Click on check availability link to check whether the blog address is available or not and click continue. Next page will offer you various templates, Choose which template is more attractive to you and click continue. Don’t worry if you don’t like the template you can always customize it lately. Congratulation you have successfully created your new blog.

WordPress is little bit different from blogger platform because it has very little themes to choose from and also you cannot edit templates. But you can install WordPress software on your own Top Level Domain and start blogging but of course this requires some money to invest. So my advice would be to install it on your own domain but if you have no money than free option is also available to you. You can join WordPress.com any time with any E-mail address but I would suggest you another free WordPress hosting site Blog.com which has lot more options to offer you than free WordPress.com.

Visit Blog.com now, signup with any Email address, Fill in form by giving your blog Title and address and activate your account via Email. After that sign-in into your new account and choose template which is suitable for your niche. After that click on Add new post and start your blogging career.
